[dropcap2 variation=”coffee”]N[/dropcap2]o one questions whether engaging in battle is courageous. It’s a given. But no one emerges from the battles of the heart unscathed. Our hearts get hit, betrayed, lied to, stomped on. Some of us fight our way through. Some of us lay stunned on the battlefield, gazing at the vultures circling overhead.
Few of us seek the healing our hearts so desperately need.
How does one heal a heart? It begins by listening. Most of us don’t listen well. It takes time. It takes a certain level of quietness of mind. Most of us have a ways to go to get there.
But you can get there. What matters most is not where you are, but that you’re willing to begin.
The world is noisy. Begin to practice quietness. Put aside the lists. What gets done today gets done today. Will what’s really pressing in on you really matter 10 years from now?
Choosing healing is as courageous as engaging in the battle. Hum. Perhaps healing is the battle?
