Jesus.
You’ve heard about him. But who is he, really? And what does he have to do with us and our grief?
Over the past four decades, I’ve found him to be the greatest friend I could ever imagine. I see him as the ultimate grief expert – not just because he knows about grief, but because he’s experienced more of it than I can fathom.
I talk about him in the present tense, because I believe he is here, walking with us in the middle of our pain and mess.
I also believe that Jesus still heals. I believe he can heal the grieving heart. No, we will never be the same. And no, none of us will experience complete healing in this life. But we can heal more than we realize.
If you’re of a different faith or perspective, my goal is not to offend you or convince you of anything. I’m simply offering to share with you my perspective, drawn from my personal and professional experiences with loss.
Your heart matters. Your grief matters. You matter. You are not alone.
