[dropcap2 variation=”coffee”]I[/dropcap2]n the last post, I talked about the shadow – the unseen thing that drives most of us. I don’t know what your shadow is. We’ve all got one. Mine was the need to prove myself valuable. It drove almost everything I thought, said, and did. It ruled my life.
What drives you? Pull it from behind and place it square in front of you. Stare it down. Dare to ask its name. Take a good look at it. It will try to dart back behind you and play its incognito game. Don’t let it. Keep it front, and watch it wilt before your very eyes.
Now you can make decisions differently. Make daily decisions with the shadow in front of you. Choose your highest good. Listen to your heart, and you’ll begin to discover what that is.
Here’s how it works. “My shadow tells me I must prove myself valuable. I refuse to make decisions based on that. Instead, I choose my highest good – the best thing for me right now.” Your highest good will also work for the good of those around you.
Make decisions with the shadow in front of you. Then ask yourself, “Which road fits best with my purpose and mission?” Chances are, you’ve just made your decision.
