[dropcap2 variation=”coffee”]I[/dropcap2]t’s as old as the Garden of Eden. “She gave it to me.” “The serpent deceived me.” Now, after thousands of years of practice, we’ve developed the blame game into an art form.
Jesus cuts right through this. “But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man ‘unclean.’ For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.”
In other words, nothing can come out of you except what’s already in you. You are responsible for what goes on in your heart. Blaming keeps you stuck, frustrated, and angry.
Stop relinquishing control of your mind and heart to the behavior of another. Take ownership of what goes on inside you. Live free.
I said live free, not try harder. Isn’t trying harder good? It depends. More on that next time.
