[dropcap2 variation=”coffee”]M[/dropcap2]any of us are driven by a shadow. For most of us, it’s been with us a long time. An old fear. A hidden compulsion. A secret desire.
If this shadow goes unrecognized, it will go unchallenged. We will feel swept along in life by forces beyond our control. We become efficient automatons, grinding out our days chasing things someone else has told us make us valuable, important.
You must know that this shadow is not you. It does not have your best interests at heart. In fact, it cares nothing for you at all. If it had its way, it would devour you and erase you from existence.
This shadow is not to be toyed with. You must know it is there, and call it out. Don’t let it lurk behind you unnoticed. Pull it front of you, and stare it down.
What do you think will happen if you don’t live life the crazy way you have been? Pay attention to the answer. You may just have exposed your shadow.
What difference does exposing our shadow make? Big difference. Huge. How so? We’ll talk about that next time.
